Restaurants – Pissouri Bay
Artemis – Very friendly Cypriot taverna, great atmosphere, good food. Try the fish meze. Great, fast service in season.
Perry’s is a steak house close to the beach- It has a large and diverse menu. The food is well cooked and your host Perry will give you a very warm welcome. Good quality and value.
Pizza Venetto – If you are into Pizza you will loved it here. Really cheesy and tasty. Great for a takeaway at home and to eat in, but the atmosphere is a bit thin.
Vineleaf Tavern Traditional Greek fare. A limited menu but really great food, and oversized-portions – feel free to share or take it home to eat the next day! Try the popular Cyprus Night with self-service Meze on Fridays (May – October)
Kastro’s – Typical Cypriot cuisine, well cooked and serves in delightful surroundings. Good range of seafood, including octopus. Great steaks.
Yialos Tavern – Local cuisine. The food is very well cooked and tasty. Great if you love fish. The portions are huge. The owner and staff are very friendly.
Agamemnon Cafe Bar This is a Cafe and Bar situated almost on the beach. Great cocktails, friendly staff and free wifi, all in a nice, friendly atmosphere.
Smoothie & Sweetie Take Away – light lunches, healthy smoothies and indulgent sweets. Service very polite and the host is charming. Well worth a visit.
Hill View – This resturant is a real treat. The food is of a high standard, imaginative, and a welcome change from the average local fare. Portions are ample. Lively atmosphere on busy nights. Quote romantic when you dine outside. Sit out on the veranda if you want to dine with fantastic views of Akrotiri Bay
Two Friends -Full of tourists and locals alike you will get high quality local food with a twist at a reasonable price. The chefs specialties are always worth trying.
Pissouriana – This is the bar where ex pats go to catch up, to watch football and sports over a beer. Serves breakfast. You will get a good curry here too. Friendly and can get noisy so not the place to go if you are looking for a quiet drink. Swimming pool is a bonus.
Internet: Markos’s Internet Café. Additional internet access, and a top up for the WiFi at the villa if you need it is available here. You can also use the printers.
Papantoniou Supermarket has everything you need to eat and live well during your stay in Cyprus.
There is a delicatessen with a variety of local fare (we love the fresh haloumi and feta). The butchers is good value and the meat is great quality. The fresh fish counter is well stocked. The bakery has a large variety of fresh baked breads, cakes and deserts. Good frozen food section and green grocers. Open 08:00 – 20:00 7 days a week.
The beach has a European Blue Flag award.
Blue Flag beaches are know for their cleanliness, safety and facilities. They have to pass 32 criteria laid out by the governing body and they are only awarded for one season at a time so standards here are high all year.
If you are a wheelchair user or have small children with pushchairs there are ramps that give access, in addition there is a concrete path runs along the rear of the sands. The beach is sand and shingle and quite stony in places, especially as you get closer to the water, so bring some jelly type shoes to wear.
There are plenty of water sports options to keep you busy. You can rent sunbeds daily.
Pissouri beach is a nesting site for turtles. Small sections of the beach may be cordoned off to protect turtles’ nests in In July and August.
